The title of the installation, Late Metal (2015), is a palindrome. It indicates a second wave, a later image or something that is deceased. It also implies repetition (reappearance). Fueled by the longings for the lost harmony, these repetitions are conditioned by the dominant ideology of newness. Fast cars, fast music, sculptural architecture and monumental sculpture, are here framed by multiple reading of the word Metal. In Late Metal, speed no longer links us with the future. Rather it generates a tableau of blurred memories. Beyond this circular movement, there is the forever-postponed arrival.
